I am a UK based music producer and co-director of multi-award winning Shutter Audio

Shutter Audio is a collective of like minded producers who produce music for film, tv, radio, online media and advertising. We have a large catalogue of library music published as well as providing bespoke composition for any moving media. We have many high profile placements to our name, a full credit list and examples of our work can be found here

For 15 years I worked full time in Higher Education before devoting my time to Shutter Audio. Initially I was a technician at the University of Hertfordshire before moving into lecturing on both UG and PG courses. My role surrounded the development and usage of UH's flagship studio which at the time housed an SSL AWS900+ console on which I taught and covered a lot of practical hands-on methods for production and recording techniques. It is here that I also studied a BSc Electronic Music, an MSc Composition and Technology and a postgraduate teaching qualification in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. I specialised in Ableton Live and Logic Pro and am also an Apple Certified Trainer

I have been involved in a number of collaborative projects through the years. These include the production of various bands, experimental music performances, sound design for moving image and anything else that I see as fun to do

I used to produce and play drums in BBC Folk Award nominated Mawkin and was a breakbeat DJ under the moniker Diverted
